Before & After – Freeport Edition
Our Horny Toad store in Freeport, Maine recently remodeled its stairwell. A few years back we created a bucket list of all that we hoped to do to update in the store and this one feels like a great milestone.
Originally the stairwell had white railing with white wire mesh. This was impractical because the white rails got dirty and the wire mesh collected dust.
By stripping off the white paint and adding reclaimed wood panels, the stairwell now looks inviting and cozy rather than cold and and grubby.
It can be daunting to look around and realize that you have repairs to make, walls to paint, fixtures to update – but creating a longterm list and planning out what you can do over months and years rather than days and weeks will help!
Gather your creative and crafty friends (especially the ones with carpentry skills) and trade product for their help tackling your renovation to-do list.
Since its early days, our Freeport Horny Toad store has undergone almost a complete remodel and now has a fresh, exciting look that customers notice and are inspired by.
